Terzo giorno (Polonia)

Terzo giorno interamente legato alla città di Katowice con il suo splendido museo sulla Slesia, la regione su cui Katowice stessa è situata e che vanta una lunga storia di estrazione mineraria. È stato incredibile scoprire come sia cambiata la qualità del lavoro e come certe fonti energetiche inquinanti abbiano lasciato il posto a forme più pulite. Ed è stato altrettanto sorprendente vedere come la qualità della vita dei lavoratori fosse dura e inaccettabile sotto tanti punti di vista!

Third day Day 3 was entirely dedicated to the city of Katowice and its splendid museum about Silesia, the region in which Katowice itself is located and which boasts a long history of mining. It was incredible to discover how working conditions have changed and how certain polluting energy sources have gradually been replaced by cleaner forms of energy. It was also striking to see how harsh and unacceptable the workers’ quality of life used to be in so many respects!
